Montagne Jeunesse Creamy Coconut Mud Mask review

Hi, peeps!

This post is waaaay overdue but you know what they say, better late than never. Thanks to Montagne Jeunesse, I had the opportunity to try out two of their newest facial masks; the Creamy Coconut Mud Mask and the Manuka Honey Peel Off.

Montagne Jeaunesse is a mask brand based in the United Kingdom, offers their products at affordable prices and most importantly is cruelty free. The ingredients are all-natural and the brand is against 'animal testing' which immediately give them a nod from me.

For the Creamy Coconut Mud mask, their active ingredients would be the coconut water and shea butter which works in sync to enter the skin pores and moisturise. Compared to sheet masks, mud or clay based masks can reach deep into the pores and draw out impurities and excess sebum.

When I tried it, I found myself liking the texture of the mask as it wasn't oily and sticky. Applying it was easy with its smooth liquid form getting into every couture of my face. I left it on for 15 - 20 minutes as advised and occupied myself with Sudoku (during which none of the mask dripped on to my book).

When it was time to rinse off, it came off easily, no fuss, no mess. I especially liked that it didn't leave behind that sticky uncomfortable after-feeling on my face. The scent was sweetly coconut without overwhelming. Even a day after using it, my face still felt refreshed and moisturised.

This mud-based mask is suitable for dry, normal and mature skin and one sachet has up to 2 to 3 applications.

I'll be reviewing the Manuka Honey Peel Off mask and a surprise Montagne Jeaunesse mask next. Stay tune!
