Berjaya Sompo Launches 'The Good Policy' Campaign with a Commitment to Positive Change

Berjaya Sompo, a distinguished insurance provider renowned for its customer-centric approach and strong commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) values, is thrilled to unveil its latest brand campaign – 'The Good Policy'. This initiative reflects the company's unwavering dedication to the well-being of its customers and the future of Malaysia, addressing ESG challenges through innovative initiatives.

In line with ‘The Good Policy’, they also sent me a media pack with items that have been ethically sourced and locally produced by social enterprises dedicated to uplifting the underprivileged. These enterprises are:

  • Magic Seed: a brand under Moms Village Asia Sdn Bhd, a social enterprise aiming to transform the lives of disempowered women through an Easy, Self-Paced short Entrepreneurial Programme digitally. Magic Seed products are made of recycled paper and encourage sustainable gardening by being a gift that gives a meaningful memory to harvest and feed.
  • Seven Tea One: an accredited social enterprise which provides a safe, inclusive and non-discriminatory platform for differently-abled and marginalized communities to learn employment skills and earn dignified income for sustainable living
  • Silent Teddies Bakery: an initiative by the Community Service Centre for the Deaf (CSCD) to equip Deaf youths with entrepreneurial skills that will enable them to be independent. All efforts will be made to support the CSCD programmes and its school for Deaf children.

The Good Bengkel' Initiative: Empowering Lives, One Car at a Time
A highlight of 'The Good Policy' campaign is the introduction of 'The Good Bengkel' initiative. This tangible expression of Berjaya Sompo's commitment aims to subsidize RM250 for the repair of 200 cars belonging to the B40 community segment (for selected models and years of manufacture). By doing so, the initiative not only enhances the quality of life for these individuals but also contributes to safeguarding their means of transportation.
