14,000 runners. One iconic night. The Music Run™ turns 11 in style.

If you've ever wondered what it feels like to run through a live music festival, The Music Run™ is exactly that — and its 11th edition was arguably the biggest yet. More than 14,000 participants descended on Bukit Jalil National Stadium for a night that blurred the line between race day and concert, turning a 5km route into a full-blown celebration of movement, music, and community.

From starting gun to sunrise vibes

The event kicked off with dynamic emcees and DJs setting the tone before the first runner even crossed the start line. As the sun dipped and the stadium lights came alive, the crowd's energy was electric — part fitness challenge, part dance floor, entirely unforgettable.

Running through the signature course, participants weren't just logging kilometres. They were dancing through music zones, singing along to chart-toppers, and feeding off the contagious enthusiasm of 14,000 fellow runners. It's the kind of thing that makes non-runners reconsider their stance on 5kms.

A lineup that delivered

The night's entertainment was a carefully curated procession of homegrown talent. Indie-pop and R&B artist Talitha opened the show with an infectious set that warmed up the crowd beautifully. Jambu Jambu Asia followed with pulsating DJ beats that had everyone moving, before Irene Catalina took over with dance-heavy hits that kept the momentum going strong. Subang-bred multilingual rapper Lil J brought a different energy — raw, engaging, and completely crowd-pleasing. DJ No Yeti then closed out the night with a set that stretched the party well past anyone's bedtime.

But the real crescendo? Malaysian music icon Dato' Sri Siti Nurhaliza taking centre stage. Her powerhouse vocals echoed across the stadium in a moment that left the crowd breathless — and then immediately singing along at full volume.

"Every year, we aim to deliver the ultimate experience in music, energy, and community spirit — but this year's edition was truly the most electrifying yet."

— Jeff Ross, Managing Director, Fresh Events Asia

More than a run — a movement

Organised by Fresh Events Asia, The Music Run™ isn't just about the kilometres. Since its Kuala Lumpur debut in 2014, it has grown into a global phenomenon, bringing together communities across Singapore, Taiwan, China, and beyond. The 11th edition adds to an impressive tally.

What keeps people coming back year after year? The answer seems to be the rare combination of genuine fun, community connection, and an alcohol-free environment that feels welcoming to everyone — seasoned runners and first-timers alike. It champions active living without taking itself too seriously, which is exactly why it resonates with Gen Z and Millennial audiences.

Partners who made it happen

The event was made possible by AFFIN as Presenting Partner, alongside JBL as Main Partner, Cornetto as Supporting Partner, and 100PLUS keeping runners hydrated throughout the night.

"We remain committed to moving in step with the rhythm of our customers' lives. This partnership provides an exciting platform to connect with younger audiences and inspire financial readiness early on."

— Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah, President & Group CEO, AFFIN Group
