Selfies A Must at Malaysia's First Selfie Museum

Happy Merdeka Day to my fellow Malaysians!

In the spirit of our 61st National Day, let's talk about things that Malaysians love. Number 1) Food, Number 2) Selfies and OOTDs, Number 3) Social Media and Number 4) Take pictures of  food and selfies of themselves for social media!

In the spirit of all things Malaysian love (aka all of the above), Malaysia's very first dessert themed "Selfie Museum" has opened its doors to the public on 31 August 2018 at Fahrenheit 88, right smack in the heart of Kuala Lumpur's shopping and travel destination. The “Selfie Museum” is sponsored by international and local favourite brands; Samsung, Pandora, Benefit Cosmetics, Baskin Robbins, Hotlink Red, TeaLive, llaollao, dUCk Scarves, and Lingham Chili Sauce. There are nine rooms located in the 7,000sqft in size space of Fahrenheit 88's second floor.

Mobal Japan Unlimited SIM Card review

I am shocked that I have yet to write up my review on this. Five months since coming back from Japan and it suddenly occurred to me that I haven't shared my thoughts and feedback on the SIM card I used while in Japan for two months.

The common perception about SIM cards in Japan is that it's complicated to apply for. There is some truth to that as a lot of paperwork is needed to set up a number. Most of the time, if you're travelling there on holiday either solo or as a group, the mobile wifi router is the way to go. Most offer 5GB daily with connectivity for five devices and if shared with others, the cost works out to be more reasonable.

The East Imperial Gin Jubilee [22-26 August 2018]

Returning for its third year of Gin and Tonic appreciation, education and entertainment, The East Imperial Gin Jubilee returns to Kuala Lumpur for five whole days. With a great line up of events including an exciting kick-off party at Bar Trigona and the best G and T in KL competition, the festival promises a week of gin-tastic activities.

Given its growing affection for the drink, Kuala Lumpur will be the first city in the region to kick off the festival in Asia this year. “Gin and Tonics are becoming increasingly popular in Malaysia, where the weather is summer all year round. The drink’s approach ability has given KL-ites a whole new outlook on the cocktail scene and cocktail culture," says Shawn Samuel, CEO of the Gin Jubilee's local organiser, Wholly Spirits. "The Gin Jubilee will build on the G and T's popularity here by exposing drinkers to many trending, as well as new gin brands from around the world, and at the same time, educated consumers on how a great mixer like East Imperial’s range of superior tonic waters can enhance the drinking experience."

Set your alarms and reminders to sign up for these races.

Malaysians are spoiled for choice when it comes to races. Almost every weekend of the year (excluding fasting month) is jammed pack with one to three races across the country. You simply need to take your pick of which kind of sporting event you’re interested in, sign up, slip on your running shoes and head out.

However, there are a few races in Malaysia that has been known to sell out pretty rapidly due to the immense popularity and hype. These are the five races you simply must take part in or risk feeling left out on race day when your social media will be bombarded with selfies and medal pictures.

Milo Breakfast Day 2018 Putrajaya

The  MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day Run was the only run in Putrajaya I would willingly wake up at 5am and drive myself all the way there for a 5km run. For four consecutive years, I have been doing so. But this year, I opted to walk instead and ended walking the whole 5km with Elie, a first time Milo participant.

Watch the vlog below and count how many times Elie talked about her Pokemon Go. It was only due to our friendship that I did not leave her in the dust.

Over two days, MILO® Malaysia Breakfast Day Run 2018 in Putrajaya saw a massive turnout of over 46,000 people who came to participate in a variety of activities designed to create awareness on the importance of a wholesome breakfast in a fun and engaging manner.

Cameron Highlands 3D2N Trip

When my parents signed up for the highly popular Cultra race in Cameron Highlands, they invited me to tag along for the weekend trip. I thought why not since it was bloody hot in the city and everything was paid for. In return, I was their designated driver for majority of the trip there. Not a bad deal at all.
