Tsutaya Books Bukit Jalil - More than Just Books and Pens

Undoubtedly the most popular Tsutaya is probably the one at Shibuya only because you can get a view of the famous Shibuya Crossing from the second floor of its tenant, Starbucks. The second famous Tsutaya is the instagrammable one in Nagoya.

But now in Malaysia, the name Tsutaya Books goes hand-in-hand with Pavilion Bukit Jalil, home to the first Tsutaya outlet in the whole of South East Asia. Making a promise to be more than just books, Tsutaya is "a space to discover and explore and to cultivate creative pursuits." Their words, not mine.

12 Things You can only find at Don Don Donki, Lot 10 Kuala Lumpur

All Japan-fanatic will know that Don Don Donki is de best place to go shopping when in Japan. It's literally an all-in-one supermarket, department store and convenient mart roll into several massive floors across Japan. And for those of us who miss Japan so much, the opening of their flagship store at the iconic Lot 10, Bukit Bintang has been a long anticipated.

A second outlet is set to open this year too at Tropicana Gardens Mall but until then, here's a list of things you can only find at Jonetz by Don Don Donki's first outlet. For ease of navigation, I will be arranging it according to their respective floors to help you weirdos find them!

There are three floors right now and due to the pandemic, the entrance to Don Don Donki is on the second floor with the exit being on the ground floor. So we will start from the top. Let's go!

[Hotel Review] OYO RG Heritage Boutique Hotel, Penang

If there is one tip I will given you when in Penang, is stay in a heritage hotel. Trust me. It's quite an experience being able to appreciate the architecture and design of these old shoplots or house turned accommodation. These hotels are also often more affordable and strategically located within proximity of the good food that Penang is known for.

Case in point: my recent stay at OYO RG Heritage Boutique Hotel.

[App Review] Booking a car on Trevo for a Penang Roadtrip

Did you know that 90% of a car's lifetime is spent parked? Go to work, park car. Go home, park car. Go to shopping mall, paktor and park car. Does getting stuck in traffic jam count as parked?

Basically, despite all our ride-sharing and public transportation options, Malaysians still love owning their own car (or in some cases, cars) but with the price of convenience, comes the price of literally watching your cash burn away. Every car owner should know that cars do not appreciate in value.

But what if there was a way for your car to pay itself off? That's where Trevo comes in. To put it simply, it's like Airbnb for cars. If you have a car just sitting in your house, you can put it up on Trevo to be booked by a guest in need of a car. Guests, like myself when I needed a sedan car for my road trip to Penang.

Hair Color Expert Review: RM88.90 for Red Hair!

Look ma, I am a redhead!

Going red has been something I have been considering for long time but it wasn't until I stepped into Hair Color Expert that it became reality. Hair Color what now? How is that different from a normal hair salon, you ask.

Dash Resort Langkawi review

Okay, I know I have a backlog of my Turkey postings to write. Heck I even thought I could get it done while I was away in Langkawi for this media trip. Ha ha ha, what a joke that was. So once again, Turkey takes a backseat because.I just can't wait to tell you about this resort because IT. IS. SO. DAMN. PRETTY. Especially the infinity pool that looks out onto its own private beach.

Have I got you interested and envisioning your next holiday yet? I have? Great! Because this hip and happening resort is located just an hour's plane ride away in the island of Langkawi, Kedah. The name of this paradise is Dash Resort Langkawi by Ri-Yaz Group and is situated at the very end of Pantai Cenang, giving it an exclusivity coveted by many resorts along that stretch of beach.

[11.11 Promo Galore!] SGshop - Your Taobao Agent in Malaysia

It's almost the end of the year and the season of parties and presents is fast approaching. So why wait until the last minute to shop when you can order anything and everything you need online. Out of the many online sites worldwide, Taobao is super popular amongst my friends because it's super cheap! You can get good quality fashionable pieces at reasonable rates. But the only downside for a banana (chinese who cannot read or speak chinese) like me, the site is in Chinese.

[Food Review] Indobowl Lakefield, Sg Besi

UPDATE: CLOSED AND MOVED
Ah Indomie. A favourite of many Malaysians. A close companion on many late nights when one is  low on cash and at the mamak. It seems fitting that Malaysia has a cafe that pays tribute to this instant noodle. The first outlet in Sungai Besi opened its doors three years ago while the newest branch in Subang SS15 was opened just last year to cater to Selangor residents and students nearby. I was recently invited to their Sungai Besi Lakefield outlet to try out their signature dishes and more. So much more.

Starbucks Bottled Tea-based Frappuccino - Black Tea and Matcha Tea Launches in Malaysia

Malaysians do love their yumcha time out. Be it in the middle of work or at midnight, there is always time to yumcha. And what better way to yumcha than with a chilled bottle of Starbuck's new Tea-based Frappuccino in a blazing hot day. Malaysia is the second country after China to have the Bottled Tea-based drinks introduced to the shelves of 7-Eleven stores, premium supermarkets and petrol marts nationwide.

4 Reasons to get a Samsung S8

"Why?" was the question my mother asked me when I suggested for her to change her current super laggy phone to the Samsung Galaxy S8. To that I had no response because truth be told, I was an iPhone user having combed my way through the iPhone 3G, 4S and now the SE.
But my mom on the other hand was an android user and has flipped between Samsung and Sony. Right now, her phone is a three-year-old Sony Experia 3 with a dented body, cracked screen and a 10 second delay on the touch screen response time.

Okay, she really needs a new phone and I suggested the Samsung Galaxy S8 for these four reasons alone:

Touch Your Memories with Droprint app

As a writer, I always felt that there was something personal about writing down my thoughts. As a photographer, being able to hold my photos in my fingers seems to bring the images to life. It's almost as though you are imparting a part of yourself into ink when you write or print out these thoughts and memories.

While Instagram and Facebook do have their appeal when it comes to sharing photos, there is nothing quite like printing out your photos and pinning them up over your desk. Thanks to modern tech and a little niffy app called Droprint, you can have your photos selected, printed on nice glossy photo papers or as a memorabilia photobook and delivered to you.

Simbae Pet Care - Dog Shampoo and Leave-on Conditioner

Doggy bath time is something my furkid, Cody and I do not look forward to. But it is a much needed evil to keep his fur clean, shiny and tick and fleas-free. The belief that dogs enjoy water does not apply to my PAWS-adopted furkid. He hates water and hates the smell of his usual doggy shampoo. A sentiment I share mainly because it gives off a medicinal scent that always has him diving for the earth and mud post-bath.

Enter Simbae.

Prior to this, I have not heard of Simbae but a quick Google search showed a very elegant and refined collection of pet care products.

Why Mix Feed Your Cats by Whiskas

Looking at my cats, all five of them, I realised one thing. Feeding them is hella tricky due to their different ages, diet requirements and sizes. Especially the fat ones. They are the ones in need of diet control so to cater to all their noms needs, I mix feed them.

Mix feeding is basically mixed the cat's daily diet with wet food and dry food. According to WHISKAS Malaysia, about 71% of cat owners in Malaysia often opt for dry cat food while 28% of owners prefer wet food for their cat.

While some cat owners swear by wet food and others prefer dry food, research from The Waltham Centre for Pet Nutrition suggests that both types have their plus points . Research shows that feeding your cat both dry and wet food will allow them to benefit from the best of both practices. And here's why:

C2AGE 2015 @ HELP International School

Joining the ranks of AMG events in Malaysia to look out for is C2AGE, an event organized annually for the past nine years by the dedicated students of HELP University College. Since starting out nine year ago at HELP, C2AGE has since grown in size and crowd. 2015 saw C2AGE take place at the new HELP International School over the past week for two days and despite the isolated location and the distance from the city center, it still saw hundreds of students, parents, AMG fans and cosplayers flock to the event.

Even at 9am, a queue had formed outside C2AGE with eager beavers all prep and ready. Once past the ticketing booths, visitors are immediately guided through the school's lovely spacious garden with ample space and sunshine for cosplay phototaking before hitting the canteen area and eventually the multipurpose hall where the event was being held.

Sushi King Street Food Promotion

In Japan, it would now be in the middle of summer for them and with the rainy and humid days comes festivals and summer fairs. The best of Japan's street food are bountiful around this time as tourists will find stalls and stalls of food at these festivals. And believe me....they are delicious.

But for a taste of Japanese street food closer to home, Sushi King's Street Food promotion offers just that. Running until the end of August 2014, Japanese cuisine fans will find fusion mouth-watering delicacies inspired from the streets of Japan.

The Spicy Salmon Nigiri immediately caught my attention with the local taste of chilli flakes atop each fresh raw salmon slices for that additional kick. You can opt to skip the wasabi on this one or just pile it on, it is up to you. Priced at RM5 per plate, the Spicy Salmon Nigiri was a good start to any meal.

Logitech Colour Collection M235 Mouse review

Having this little candy at the palm of my hand instantly makes me feel very chirpy and happy. It was just the subtle accessory I needed to brighten up my workstation which usually consists of my laptop, my headphones and my usual old fashioned wired mouse. My usual old fashioned mouse with its long wire that always comes out of my bag all tangled up.

Not only does Logitech's Colour Collection M235 Mouse come in four spunky colours (Bubble bath Red, Green Envy, Daring Diva and Blue Bliss), it is wireless too, making it handy to have especially when you need to shift workstations occasionally.
