I’ve said this before and I will say it again. I loveeeeee the year end holidays. I can feel myself getting excited in anticpation of the Christmas carols, decorations, and the food. And one of the things I look forward to each year is the Starbucks Christmas collection. This year is definitely no different with a new drink added to the mix. Oh my!

Themed the ‘The Blend is The Magic’, Starbucks Malaysia’s Christmas range has already hit the stores as of 13 November giving you a good one month and a half to enjoy the all new Snowy Cranberry Latte. Starbucks has also brought back the good old holiday favourites - Toffee Nut Crunch Latte and the yummilicious Peppermint Mocha.

Did you know coffee beans grow inside of a cherry? In the world of Starbucks coffee craft, the outer husk of the cherry, also known as Cascara, is having a star moment this autumn. Embracing this often-neglected part of a coffee plant, the subtly sweet Cascara is made into a syrup with complex flavors reminiscent of dark brown sugar and maple. Starting 12 September 2018, Cascara Cold Foam Cold Brew will be available for a limited time, bringing together Starbucks 14-hour slow-steeped Cold Brew with Cascara syrup infused cold foam.

Mooncake Festival 2018 - Four Seasons Hotel KL

Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur has officially announced that its in-house mooncakes will be specially made by Chef Jimmy Wong, Executive Chinese Chef of Yun House and his team of capable chefs. 

Its luxurious golden box can hold up to four mooncakes and with seven carefully crafted flavours to pick from, the temptation to get multiple boxes might be too great. 

Centurion Ladies Ueno Hostel, Tokyo

I have stayed basically all over Tokyo at this point from Asakusa to Shinjuku to Ikebukuro to even Shibuya and no area has enticed me as much as Ueno. With a park, a zoo, a shopping arcade that was bustling from day to night, a plethora of food and multiple stations to get around, Ueno easily became my favourite part of Tokyo after picking it to set up my base for one week after my adventures in Hokkaido.

Before embarking on a two months trip across Japan, I never realised how many things I have taken for granted. Warm water readily available, easy access to shops and even the simple phone connection. Because all of these were unavailable at the horse ranch in Hokkaido where I spent three weeks working as part of the WWOOF programme.

WWOOF stands for World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farm where travellers help out a farm, cafe, restaurant or in my case, a horse ranch in exchange for accommodation and food. Big shoutout to my friend Chee Ching who gave me the idea of participating in this programme. On top of that, before signing up for WWOOF, I also found out I had gotten into the Nagoya Women’s Marathon 2018 so my two months adventure was planned out with some running training in mind.

The 69th Sapporo Snow Festival 2018 Highlights

The Sapporo Snow Festival is one of Japan's biggest festival with international and locals flocking to the northern island of Japan to experience this one week event. When I went to Hokkaido to WWOOF in Hidaka for three weeks, it just so happened that my trip coincided with the festival and I simply could not miss this opportunity.

Fashion Overhaul at the Rakuten Super Sale!

My family and friends know that I am a sucker for a good sale and bargain. I like finding clothes that suit my style and comfort without breaking the bank. And ever since hearing about Rakuten, Japan's largest online shopping mall, I have been ordered clothes from them once every two months at least!

Because their shops and brands have just so many things to pick from! Personally, my favourite Rakuten outlet to surf on was Luvclo. Got quite a number of my tops from there and at decent prices too. Like this one here:

Guess Luxe Collection Launch @ the Gardens

To kick off the festive season, GUESS launched their Luxe Fall/Winter 2013 collection just last week at an intimate event at the Garden's outlet and 50 fashion-crazed bloggers from the Butterfly Project were invited to have a first look at the new collection. I am happy to say that I was one of those lucky butterflies to attend the event.
