Animangaki 2019 maybe over but it doesn't mean you have to wait until next year for your dosage of the adorable mascot, Kei-chan! In commemoration of AniManGaki 2019, Milkcananime drew a pack of "Miwa Haruka & Kei-Chan" stickers that is available for download. Miwa, a farmgirl who loves animals was so excited to meet him. It seems they get along pretty well!

Tokyo 2015 - Day 4: Last Day in Japan Thoughts
This entry will be mostly a photo entry because I feel that the pictures best describe how amazing Tokyo was for me. I revisited Akihabara and wandered the bustling Asakusa once more for gifts and treats and along the way, rekindled my affection for this beautiful country and its people.
My guided tour through Akihabara the previous day gave me a good bearing of my surroundings and I retraced my steps to revisit the stores for last minute shopping. My only regret was not dedicating at least two days solely to this area. Perhaps next time.

Tokyo 2015 - Day 3: Harajuku & Akihabara
"Welcome home, My Princess and My Master!" was the greeting my friends and I received from the cheerful maids of @home maid cafe. This was the start of my first maid cafe experience or as the Japanese would say...Meido kafe or meido kissa.
It was quite literally an otaku's day out as we had a full day ahead of us with a guided tour in Akihabara scheduled in the afternoon and a trip to Artnia, the official Square Enix cafe. We started the morning sipping on a cup of coffee while watching the Shibuya crossing from the iconic Starbucks Shibuya.
Getting a window seat at this Starbucks was hard but we got one nonetheless and it was pretty peaceful. The only downside of going so early was that the crowd crossing wasn't that spectacular. On the plus side, Japan has super cute public buses.

C2AGE 2015 @ HELP International School
Joining the ranks of AMG events in Malaysia to look out for is C2AGE, an event organized annually for the past nine years by the dedicated students of HELP University College. Since starting out nine year ago at HELP, C2AGE has since grown in size and crowd. 2015 saw C2AGE take place at the new HELP International School over the past week for two days and despite the isolated location and the distance from the city center, it still saw hundreds of students, parents, AMG fans and cosplayers flock to the event.
Even at 9am, a queue had formed outside C2AGE with eager beavers all prep and ready. Once past the ticketing booths, visitors are immediately guided through the school's lovely spacious garden with ample space and sunshine for cosplay phototaking before hitting the canteen area and eventually the multipurpose hall where the event was being held.

Surviving Comic Fiesta: Tips for All
Whether you are a first timer or a long time attendee of Comic Fiesta, each year is a whole new experience all together. For many all anime, manga and game fans around Malaysia, Comic Fiesta is the ultimate convention of the year. Comic Fiesta was even moved from previous smaller venues (Sunway Pyramid and Times Square) to the huge Kuala Lumpur Convention Center to accommodate the ever-growing crowd and has even become an event for outstationers and tourists to visit.
Last year saw an astonishing 39,8555 visitors for the two days event. That means a packed and crowded hall that looks something like this.
Now before you freak out and wet yourself, there are ways for you to make it an enjoyable experience whether you are a reasoned attendee or a newbie. Here are some tips to help you survive Comic Fiesta.

Animangaki 2014 - Day 2 Highlights
Day 2 of Animangaki 2014 and I was beat. After a whole day of being on my feet on Day 1, got my butt kicked at the Energizer Night Run by dehydration and getting up super early for Spartan training with the team, I was sure all feelings in my legs was imaginary.
But by some miracle/determination, I summoned up all my last remaining energy and its reserves and got myself to Sunway Pyramid for the second day of Animangaki...somehow.
And if it was even possible, there was even more to see, do and look forward to on Day 2. Here are my highlights.

Animangaki 2014 - Day 1 Highlights
Animangaki made its return this year with a bang and what a bang it was with the total number of guests topping last year's attendance. Yay!
Since its humble beginnings in 2009, Animangaki has grown leaps and bounds in terms of size, organization and of course, fans. Held once again at Sunway Pyramid, the weekend of 9-10 August 2014 saw flocks and hordes of anime fans, otakus and cosplayers arrive at the convention center of the shopping mall for the fifth Animangaki (abbreviated from the words Anime, Manga and Gaki. Gaki being the Japanese word for 'brat') that was themed Sengoku also known as Feudal Japan.
