Who won Ford Trucks at Digi's 20th Anniversary?

If you are one of the many Digi Prepaid users in Malaysia, then you would have already known about the Digi Reload & Win contest. Everytime you reload your sim card, you stand a chance to win one of many prizes comprising of 800 tablets, 620 smartphones and even, two cars (all worth RM1 milion). That's right. Digi gave away 2 rides yo!

As part of its 20th year Anniversary celebrations and finale to the Reload & Win contest, five of its loyal customers vied for the grand prizes of two Fords Rangers via a series of challenges carried out around and about Publika on 13 June. The finalists were flagged off by Christian Thrane, Digi's Chief Marketing Office and Hammad Kabir, Digi's Head of Prepaid.


"To date, we have given out 620 smartphones, 800 tablet devices and now at the final stage, two Digi loyal customers drove away with a Ford Ranger each. It is our 20th anniversary and we wanted to celebrate it with our customers. This prepaid Reload & Win contest is just one of the ways we are using to show our appreciation for our customers’ loyalty - by rewarding them with these great prizes,” said Christian Thrane, Digi’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

After a series of task involving them rolling around in a ball pit and joining as busking band (sharing all of these on Instagram), only two emerged as the winners of the Ford trucks; 34 year old IT Assistant Manager Senthilvasan Muthan and 48 year old canteen operator Adnan bin Othman 

According to Senthilvasan Muthan who was an avid fan of treasure hunt challenges, "I jumped at the opportunity when my sister asked me to represent her at Digi's Reload & Win Finale. Though the challenges were cross of easy and difficult, I wanted to complete it for my sister who has been a faithful Digi customer for 5 years. Now that I have won the Ford Ranger, I will give it to her as it feels like the right thing to do, inspired with the idea of giving back." 

"This is the first time in my life that I have participated in any type of contest. I am extremely happy, as I wasn't confident that I could complete all challenges. When I got the first call from Digi, I was surprised and the Digi customer service in Malacca encouraged me to participate." shared Adnan bin Othman. "Being a Digi customer and having 2 Digi lines paid off as I won a brand new Ford Ranger. I never expected it to be this easy to just reload and win a car."
