When I found the stall, (here's a photo for your reference in case you want to seek him out), I immediately noticed...HOLY CRAP, a plate of Char Kuey Teow with duck egg was ONLY RM4.80. By luck, I didn't have to wait long for my order that day as opposed to the next day when I came back and ordered one to go and waited 10-15 minutes. But don't worry, they have a fair numbering system to ensure they don't miss out your order.

And I absolutely love it. The taste was oh so worth it. I could taste the wok hei in each strand of flat noodle and the duck egg added a level of creaminess to the entire dish. It also came with three sizable prawns, cockles and Chinese sausage. Mind you, the portion was small but it was just perfect if you're planning to try out other dishes in Cecil Street Market.
Even my takeaway Char Kuey Teow ( packed in banana leaf and newspaper and refried at home) tasted delicious even after 24 hours with the creaminess of the duck egg maintaining the moisture.

I would highly recommend this hidden little stall in Cecil Street Market for cheap and cheerful duck egg Char Kuey Teow. I am uncertain of this nameless Char Kuey Teow stall's hours but Cecil Street Market opens from 7am to 7pm.
