HiShop June Ambassador Box review

Whoa, just like that it is already June and we are already halfway through 2013. Anyway, I received my second beauty ambassador box from Hishop two weeks ago and decided not to comment on it until I have tried out everything inside and now that I have, here are my thoughts.

Last week, thanks to the Butterfly Project, I was invited to the launch of the b.tempt'd underwear brand in Malaysia at Isetan, KLCC. Now, as we all should know over-the-shoulder-boulder-holders, otherwise known as bras, are an essential to all girls. How would I know? Because I am a girl, that's why and I have these!

Bag of Love [May]: Best of Beauty

Hey, guys!

So in April, I was invited to the Bag of Love Unzipping Event, courtesy of the Butterfly Project and got to review the April edition of the bag otherwise known as the Earth Bag. To my delight, founder of Bag of Love, Mimi announced that we will be getting the May edition as well. Yay!!

My Bag of Love May edition arrived last week and this time it was themed  'Best of Beauty' with a collection of popular brands that ranged from haircare to body wash. I loved the soft satin feel of the bag and how 'Chanel' it looked, a good indication of the goodies inside.

As always, a product list and a love letter from Mimi herself, thanking her customers for their support. Love the glam Chibi-Mimi!

Why I NEED a Havaianas

So in conjunction with the Butterfly Project's Spa Party, one of their sponsors, Havaianas is also having their own "Havaianas Experience" blog/vlog Contest. 20 lucky bloggers or vloggers will get a pair of their very own Havaianas flip flop to wear to the event! 

I want to be one of those lucky girls to get a pair of Havaianas (provided I do get invited to the spa party...) quite simply because....

Hey, guys!

I know my updates have on the low-down of late but I have just been so busy juggling university assignments with my blog and the occasional freelance work. Even now, I am in the middle of class, trying to pay attention to my lecturer while trying to type out this post  ....on my tiny iPhone. Multitasking level over9000! unlocked.

So as you can tell, I am super stressed out.

I just died....

Come 31 July 2013, I shall be free from my motherload of a thesis and assignments! But until then, you will most likely see me nibbling on my nails (bad habit I know...), staring zombie-like at my computer screen as I stress-eat on chocolates and ice-cream with stacks of ideology, cultural, feminist and nerd academic books as my pillow and my cat as my unwilling stress ball. (I know Senri agrees with me)

God, the mere thought of that depresses me....where's my kitty?

Which is why I really need one day-out just to pamper myself and to just hang out with fun people. Which is why I really want to go for the Butterfly Project's Spa Party!

Full Moon Party with Party Hat

A friend of mine just had a baby last month, a beautiful baby girl christened Ariel (a few of our friends insist on dubbing her Marsha. It's a long story) Anyway, isn't she adorable! (Anyone who says otherwise, gets a table flip at them)

To congratulate the new parents, I was thinking of getting them a gift and have been wrecking my brain over what to get them. Well, Party Hat has just the present in the form of their personalized Full Moon Party packages. Seems like throwing them a full moon party for Marsha -I mean, Ariel seems like the perfect present! Burgertory, SS15 Subang Jaya review

On Mother's Day, the family went to Burgertory after debating between steamboat buffet and pork burger. Obviously in my family, the latter was an instant choice. We got there at about 7pm and thankfully the crowd hasn't come it yet.

William, one of the founders was the friendly face behind the counter and he was helpful in making recommendations to my mother. I already knew what I wanted from all the blogs I've been reading.

While there was the option of ala carte, we ordered the three burgers sets and a salad from the extensive menu of pork, beef and vegetarian burgers. A burger set comes with fries, onion rings, meatballs and a free flow of soft drinks. Orders are made at the counter and we quickly seated ourselves at the long table which the Burgertory crew had built themselves along with the rest of entire restaurant.

Fast and Furious 6 movie review

At the risk of sounding like a crazy fan girl, all I have to say about the latest installment of the Fast and Furious saga was awesome! After two years since Fast Five, Justin Lin once again takes the helm of bringing together a behemoth of a fan-service movie that features the imposing presence of the Hulk and Captain America Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson paired with several stunning beauties. Oh and the female leaders weren't too bad either with Michelle Rodriguez back from the dead as Letty Ortiz. 'You wanted her back, you got it,' was probably what Lin was thinking during the pre-production of the movie.

For once, the movie exceeded or matched the high expectations set by the trailer with the good blend of witty-lines, high-octane car chase and racing scenes, fist-pounding fight scenes and several heartwarming situations between characters.

I am Hoarder

Hi, my name is Tania and I am a clothes hoarder/shopaholic.

New cupboard.

Last week, my whole family had new cupboards installed into our respective bedrooms and we had to empty out our wardrobes. I, um, did it the lazy way and just stuffed everything into big black rubbish plastic bags, discovering in the process that I had 3 bags of pants and skirts, 4 bags of tops and shirts, a rack worth of dresses and jackets and about 3 bags of bags.

First of all, my apologies for the delay in my posts lately. My assignment deadlines and work commitments have been swarming in on me and sadly, my blog has to take the backseat momentarily. Hopefully, by June, the workload would have lessened. Until then, sorry and here, have a cookie! 

Without further ado, on to the review!

Courtesy of  the Butterfly Project, I was invited to be a part of Bag Of Love's Unzipping event at Delectable Treats by Su a few weeks ago and along with 50 other bloggers around Malaysia, was given the opportunity to review the April edition of Bag of Love. I decided to try my hand at a product shoot using natural lighting and shadows. Hope you like the photos.

For the April bag, Bag of Love went green and the bleach-free canvas bag was filled with products that are either natural, organic or contribute someway or another to the environment according to founder, Mimi Teh.
