[App Review] Booking a car on Trevo for a Penang Roadtrip

Did you know that 90% of a car's lifetime is spent parked? Go to work, park car. Go home, park car. Go to shopping mall, paktor and park car. Does getting stuck in traffic jam count as parked?

Basically, despite all our ride-sharing and public transportation options, Malaysians still love owning their own car (or in some cases, cars) but with the price of convenience, comes the price of literally watching your cash burn away. Every car owner should know that cars do not appreciate in value.

But what if there was a way for your car to pay itself off? That's where Trevo comes in. To put it simply, it's like Airbnb for cars. If you have a car just sitting in your house, you can put it up on Trevo to be booked by a guest in need of a car. Guests, like myself when I needed a sedan car for my road trip to Penang.

Trapo: Car Mats made from Toys

Okay to be clearer - Trapo is a premium car mat brand made using recycled foams from toys. So rest your concerns of seeing your beloved Chou Chou toy going into a massive machine to be flattened into a car mat. That is not how Trapo works.

[Hokkaido 2016] Day 4 part 1 - I got pulled over in Japan!

It was the first time I drove in Japan and also the first time, I got pulled over by a cop. Ever.

Let me start from the beginning.

When coming to Sapporo in the spring, seeing the flower fields and natural wonders of Furano and Biel comes high in the list of things to do. However unlike Otaru which was easily accessible by train, these two locations were best explored via car and so rent a car we did for this occasion. To drive in Japan by the way, foreigners are required to obtain an international driving permit (IDP). For Malaysians you can find out how here.

I rented my car, a Toyota Vitz from the Toyota Rent a Car near my hostel, having made the booking online weeks before the trip. For a family of five, it was a bit cramp in the back seats but as we didn't have any luggages with us, it sufficed for the two days adventure outside of Sapporo. On this day, we were headed to Furano and Biel and what a long drive it was into the countryside.

Fast and Furious 6 movie review

At the risk of sounding like a crazy fan girl, all I have to say about the latest installment of the Fast and Furious saga was awesome! After two years since Fast Five, Justin Lin once again takes the helm of bringing together a behemoth of a fan-service movie that features the imposing presence of the Hulk and Captain America Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson paired with several stunning beauties. Oh and the female leaders weren't too bad either with Michelle Rodriguez back from the dead as Letty Ortiz. 'You wanted her back, you got it,' was probably what Lin was thinking during the pre-production of the movie.

For once, the movie exceeded or matched the high expectations set by the trailer with the good blend of witty-lines, high-octane car chase and racing scenes, fist-pounding fight scenes and several heartwarming situations between characters.

Do you like cars?

Are you a fan of movies like Fast and Furious?

Or games like Need for Speed?

Or shows like Top Gear?

Are you usually the one flooring the accelerator on the highway?

Do you know what RPM stands for?

Do you also like to help people in your own little way?

Or do you want to contribute and help but don't know how?

I am torn between the Ferrari and Aston Martin....first world problem much?

    But wait! There's more!
If you are not a car enthusiast, fret not because there are other things to do and see (and buy) there as well!
