Go Thai, SS2 review

SS2 is foodie haven, mainly the center area of it where the food court was but outer side, especially the row of shop facing Jalan SS2/24, tend to be a bit quiet at night for food options. This merely allowed one particular Thai eatery to stand out against the quiet row and that is Go Thai.

As per its name sake, it literally invites you to go for Thai food and it doesn't disappoint with a menu of Thailand's popular street food and dishes. Diners are instantly enticed with the sight of the cooks stirring away at the large pot of pork stew or chopping away at the huge juicy piece of roasted pork leg. Space was rather tight within the shop and the most spacious seats were the ones right at the entrance in front of the open kitchen section upfront.

Philips Kerashine Haircare Range review

I am actually quite blessed with wavy thick hair but styling that same wavy hair can be a really pain. It takes almost forever to dry my hair. And more than that, using heated hairstyling products often left my hair brittle, dry and smelling like I set it on fire. And usually in my hands, I almost never get the desired style.

Unless that style was brittle and dry.

For those in a similar hair crisis as I, let me introduce to you the Philips KeraShine haircare range. The entire range conprises of the three basis things a girl needs for her hair; a hairdryer, straightener and (perhaps, a lesser seen product) a heated styling brush. But what sets these styling products apart from the rest is the magic that coats them. A little known protein component called keratin.

Purradise Cat Cafe, TTDI

A rainy Saturday dinner outing unexpectedly became an outing to a newly opened cat cafe in Taman Tun Dr Ismail for me over the weekend. On a whim, my friends and I googled cat cafes in Malaysia and came across Purradise Cat Cafe. Located in a very popular TTDI area (across the road from its Pasar Besar area), the cafe was very spacious in comparison to the those found in Singapore and Japan. Spotting a bright and outdoorsy feel, the cafe offers bean bags, grass carpets for your wiggle toes and of course, ample of platforms, boxes, holes and toys for the kitties.

In short, it was quite literally paradise for cat-lovers.

Langkah Syabas Resort, Kota Kinabalu Sabah

I was supposed to climb Mount Kinabalu last June but after the earthquake that shook Ranau and destroyed the mountain trails, that was obviously a no go this time. For the mountain that is. I was still determined to fly out to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and enjoy a well deserved relaxing holiday by the beach. So just two weeks before my trip, my friend recommended Langkah Syabas Resort, an isolated beach resorted located just 30 minutes south of Kota Kinabalu.

A quick Google search of the resort won me over and this post will show you ten reasons why.

It draws two different crowds thoughout the day with the working and studying crowd flocking there for good wantan dumplings and noodles and families and working crowds going there at night for their signature braised duck.

Jojo Super Kitchen SS2 review

When it comes to pan mee, Jojo Super Kitchen takes the cake as one of the best pan mee specialist in the Klang Valley. With multiple outlets in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya, fans of pan mee are spoiled for choice but the one outlet that most PJ locals flock to would be the Jojo Super Kitchen in the SS2 area.

It’s no surprise that their chilli pan mee is their best sellers with almost every table of patrons having one. With the option of thin, thick or even hand-shredded noodles, it mixes well with the beautifully poached egg, mince pork and crunchy anchovies. Usually pan mee is accompanied with a helping of dried red chili. But Jojo takes it a step further and offers two types of chilies in a bowl of their delicious chili pan mee; dried red chili and mashed green chili.

Urban Stove - Homecooked Restaurant Grade Meals in under 30 minutes

Since the start of the year, I started home cooking as part of my fitness quest. I realised that I needed to control my calories intake and what better way to so than to bring your own homecooked lunch to work. It ain't no fine-dining masterpiece but it serves its purpose and is actually delicious. And on top of that, I also get the satisfaction of knowing that I am capable of making my own meals.

However I am no Marta Stewart or a Masterchef in making. That's where Urban Stove comes in.

I was one of the few who volunteered and was selected to be a part of the trial stage for this new food endeavor, intrigued by the concept of it all. On their Facebook, it was stated that Urban Stove aims to help you cook healthy restaurant-grade dinners in just 30 minutes by providing fresh pre-portioned ingredients right to your doorstep.
