Haagen Dazs launches New Menu

Sweet tooth foodies ahoy!

When Haagen-Dazs announces its revamped menu, one can't help but be curious and quite frankly, hunger for some sweet sweet cooling ice-cream. It's Chinese New Year here in Malaysia and this means that never-fail heat wave and sunny days for the next couple of weeks. In other words, the perfect ice-cream eating season (other than it also being Valentine's Day time). Whether you are in a big group, in pairs or triplets or just....forever alone, there's something at Haagen-Dazs for everyone in their new menu.

For that Reunion Session

Since Chinese New Year is just around the corner, how about sharing and dipping into a pot of hot Haagen-Dazs fondue (RM68) with a spread of mini ice-cream scopes, fruits, cookies and cakes. You can pick from either milk chocolate or dark chocolate for your fondue. The portion is just nice to share amongst four to five people, making for a nice excuse to drag your friends out for a reunion session.

Seventh Heaven (not the bar from Final Fantasy VII) is as pleasing to the eye just as it is to the taste-bud.  Priced at RM61, this is actually quite well worth the money as you get seven scopes of ice-cream flavours of your choice, chocolate drizzled fruits and a bowl of dry ice in the middle of special effects.

For Pairs, Couples and Twins

If you are looking for something share, then give the Banana Caramel Crepe (RM31) a go. Served with fluffy freshly made crepe drizzled with caramel sauce, this dish is completed with two scopes of Caramel Biscuits & Cream ice-cream to ensure that you and your companion won't be fighting over the ice-cream. Hella yummy.

For the lovey dovey couples, take a romantic trip to the Eiffel Tower (RM40) minus the expensive airplane flights, accommodation and expense because Paris is coming right to you. As one of the fan favourite abroad, it's no surprise that this creation has found its way to our shores. Designed to resemble the iconic symbol of love, this dish makes for a lovely Insta-shot and a strong impression of affection with hot moist brownies as the base and Rich Belgian chocolate and cookies & vanilla cream ice-cream.

Forever Alone T_T

When all fails and has left you alone, fret not as there is always ice-cream. Ice-cream will never let you down, nor will it leave you alone. Instead you will find that it lifts your mood (and your weight). Munch your loneliness away with one out of three Crunch selections (RM24.50 each). Pick from Mango and Vanilla & Cream Crunch, Salted Caramel Crunch and Chocolate Crunch. Depending on which flavour you enjoy, these Haagen-Dazs parfaits are the perfect way of not sharing treat yourself to a little me time.

And by the way, if you spend more than RM70 in single receipt, you are automatically entitled to a lifetime membership at Haagen-Dazs. Compared to last time when I needed to fill up a form and wait two weeks for my card to be ready, the application process is rather swift now thanks modern technology. If you're an huge Haagen Dazs fan, then this card is worth it with discounts and member-exclusive promo to keep you coming back for more.

Nah, don't say I never share the good news with you. Peace out.
