Travel 2018 - Horsing around in Japan

Welcome 2018!

I hope you won't suck as badly as 2016 and 2017. I went on a major rant about 2016 here with vows made and all that. Well, guess what. I am a woman of my word and I do tend to stick to my word.

Wow, would you look at that? I actually stuck to my 2017 new year resolution and made things happen for myself. Things really do pay off when you start focusing on yourself. As of Nov 2017, I left the public relations field to take time off to myself and to do three things I've always wanted to.

Number 1 - As you can guess by the title, I am going to Japan (again) from Jan to March in 2018! To work! Okay, not really work actually because that would require the hassle of a work visa but I've joined up with the WWOOF programme and will be working in two horse ranches in Japan in exchange for accommodation and food. Hence the title...horsing around...okay lame I get it. MOVING ON.

Number 2 - Continue curating and creating content in and about my beloved motherland Japan. I'll be contributing to various Japan travel sites, documenting my experiences in four parts of Japan including my WWOOFing experience. So stay tune and follow my new Facebook page: Sugoi Days for my awesome articles.

Number 3 - Travelling and "living" in a foreign country for more than a holiday period. I have never lived on my own before because quite frankly, I am lucky to have parents who didn't kick me out as soon as I turned 18 or 21. I am a lucky girl because I never had to face all that financial woes because I have a safety net. That being said, I've never really learnt to live independently for more than two weeks. This kind of explains why I am such an immature brat to begin with. I've faced and acknowledged this reality which is why sometime away from the house and safety net seems to be the next natural step for me.

As for my 2018 New Year's Resolution, it's basically this in a nutshell.

Make life great again. Have a fantastic 2018 and see ya!
