[Cafe Review] Half and Hafu, the Hub SS2

I first spotted this cafe on Instagram in October and since it was relatively near me, I made a mental note to check it out. Then it started appearing on a lot of cafe listicles and I decided wokay, time to pay a visit before it becomes too popular.

And that was how I found myself at Half and Hafu in the  Hub SS2. Its design reminded me of some of the bespoke cafes I peeped into when in Japan but never dared venture into and its name - Hafu meant half in Japanese. True to its name, half of the first floor lot was a hair salon and the other half was an aesthetically pleasing orange and brown cafe or rather coffee bar. Located away from the busy row of cafes and eateries that are often crowded with people, Half and Hafu was an oasis of peace and quiet.

[Food Review] Shimmer Shine Cafe, Petaling Jaya

It has been a while since I've done a food review but I am back now with a impromptu dinner visit to the new cafe in PJ New Town. I've driven past Shimmer Shine Café quite a few times and it was hard to miss the gigantic shining signage on the same row as Pizza Hut and Orange Business Hotel.

Building Muscle Strength and Mass with Ensure Gold and Guardian

I did my physical test recently and was told that my BMI was on the overweight side. Excuse me? I have muscles okay! Not many people know this but BMI is not an accurate reading on your weight and health levels. It doesn't factor in muscles which is in fact heavier than fat.

Bawangchaji: A Rising Star among Teahouses

While we may not be able to travel to China for now, we can still enjoy a taste of Yunnan through BaWangChaji which first entered the Malaysian market in 2019. The first-ever Rethink ‘Single’ Campaign of BaWangChaJi in conjunction with the 11.11 Single Day Celebration officially ended on a positive note, the teahouse brand once again broke its highest record in the history for the daily sales on Double 11. On this one-day shopping event, BaWangChaJi collaborated with 11 lifestyle brands at once and grabbed the opportunity to raise awareness on the importance and power of self-love.

Fukuoka, Kyushu [Day 6] - Nanzoin Buddha and HakuHaku Mentaiko Making Experience

On the hindsight, I should not have returned the car so soon had I known what I know now. First the foremost, Nanzoin temple was quite a distance from Fukuoka in the countryside and was worth a drive out to even though there was a train station nearby. And secondly, the HakuHaku Mentaiko factory/museum was a good 20 minutes walk from the nearest train station and was best reached by car.

Well, the more you know I suppose.
