Anyway, a quick visit during lunch on a weekday found a near packed cafe that was clean, neat and with walls decorated with old signage. Quite cool.
The menu was hung on the wall next to each table which was a smart idea. The menu boasted very few mains, a limited selected of Thai side dishes, desserts and of course the iconic Thai ice milk tea.

Their basil leave minced pork with rice topped with a glorious fried egg was my instant favourite. It was not that spicy and with a generous amount of minced pork deep fried in basil leave, it was delicous. I only wished that the rice was a tad fluffier and softer. At RM7.90, it made for satisfying lunch.
A friend had ordered the garlic pork with rice. Once again, the dish came with a topping of deep fried egg. However when I had bite, I found it a bit salty and perhaps a bit rich towards the end. Even my friend preferred their basil leaf minced meat over the garlic flavour dish.
Beside rice dishes, Boran also offered Thai pork noodle soup. Priced at RM4.90, it was a small serving better suited for small eaters or those just wanting a starter before the mains. Feel free to add on with the chilies flakes for more kick to it. My friend sure did, for a more spicy taste.
The deep fried chicken wings were pretty delicious with a thin non fatty chrunhy skin and moist flesh. The drumstick part was slightly reddish on the inside though.
I love that the Thai ice milk tea came in a sturdy plastic cup with a cap that I could use to takeaway the drink after eating there. As for the taste, it wasn't as sweet as the Thai ice milk tea in Bangkok but it wasn't too bad at a decent price of RM4.90 for a relatively large serving.
All in all, it was pretty nice place to go for Thai street food or for lunch when you are craving for Thai and is on a budget.
