KLSCM 2025 Returns on 4 & 5 October – Save the Date!

The Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon (KLSCM) 2025 is set to take place on 4 and 5 October 2025, marking its 17th edition as Malaysia’s premier distance running event. This highly anticipated race continues to attract runners from around the globe, offering an exhilarating experience in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

At this point (11 March 2025) the venue has yet to be confirmed as KLSCM will not be holding the event at Dataran Merdeka due to renovation works for the whole year. 

However, rumour has it that the race site will still be within the proximity of the iconic Dataran, about 1km from it. So those looking to book their hotels can still book within Kuala Lumpur Chinatown area. 

Pacer Applications Now Open for KLSCM 2025
KLSCM 2025 has officially opened pacer applications earlier than ever, seeking motivated, disciplined, and experienced runners to assist participants in the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10KM categories.

Pacers play a crucial role in helping runners maintain a steady pace and achieve their personal race goals. Whether guiding first-time marathoners or experienced runners aiming for a new personal best, pacers provide vital support throughout the race.

Key Dates for Pacer Applicants
📅 Pacer Assessment Run: 13 April 2025
📅 Final Running Clinic: 7 September 2025
📅 Application Deadline: 16 March 2025, 11:59 PM

Selected pacers must attend both the Pacer Assessment Run and the Final Running Clinic to be eligible.
