The collaboration introduces a whimsical grape and cherry blossom-inspired beverage series alongside exclusive collectibles and fan experiences, bringing together coffee, creativity and friendship in one exciting campaign.

A Celebration of Friendship and Local Creativity

At the heart of the campaign lies a simple but relatable message: the smallest moments shared with friends often become the most memorable.

Created by Malaysian founder Dylan Ang, Bear Boss Buddies has gained a loyal following for its charming characters and authentic portrayal of friendship through a uniquely Malaysian lens. The collaboration shines a spotlight on the trio’s dynamic personalities:

• Mao, the intelligent and dependable member of the group
• Capybara, the ultra-relaxed companion everyone loves

Together, the beloved characters will take centre stage across Luckin Coffee Malaysia’s May campaign activities and merchandise launches.

According to Jeff Lim Chee Lip, the partnership reflects Luckin Coffee Malaysia’s commitment to staying connected with Gen Z audiences while celebrating local creativity and culture. 

Dylan Ang also shared that the collaboration allows Bear Boss Buddies to become part of Malaysians’ everyday routines, creating joyful experiences that foster positivity and belonging.

New Grape and Cherry Blossom Drinks at Luckin Coffee Malaysia

As part of the “Escape into Grape Fantasy” campaign, Luckin Coffee Malaysia is introducing three limited-edition beverages inspired by fruity grape flavours and delicate floral notes.

Grape Cheese Cloud

Available from 8 May onwards, the Grape Cheese Cloud combines juicy Summer Black grapes with a creamy sea-salt cheese foam topping. The result is a smooth and indulgent drink designed for those who enjoy rich, dessert-like beverages.

 
Grape Refresher
Also launching on 8 May, the Grape Refresher offers a lighter and more refreshing option. Blending Summer Black grapes, locally produced lime and fragrant jasmine tea, the drink delivers a cooling balance of sweetness and citrus.

 
Cherry Blossom Latte
Launching on 15 May, the Cherry Blossom Latte introduces delicate Guan Shan cherry blossom flavours paired with rich coffee. Its pastel pink appearance makes it especially appealing for café lovers and social media enthusiasts alike.

Beyond beverages, the collaboration also features collectible merchandise designed to delight fans and collectors.

Starting 15 May, customers can redeem a free Luckin Coffee x Bear Boss Buddies “Wiggly Tail” Plushie Blind Bag with the purchase of a selected two-drink combo priced at RM24.90 through the Luckin Coffee app.

The blind bag collection features plushie versions of Bear Boss, Mao and Capybara.
