Laugh Die You: Malaysia vs Singapore

Growing up during my primary school days, I had bad English. Like really bad. I was talking like a Cina person and had a tendency to throw out this phrases 'HAH!', 'ABUDEN' and 'THEN WHAT TALKING YOU?!' very loudly. And I owe it all to Phua Chu Kang, best in Singapore, JB and some say Batam. Yeh, growing up I didn't exactly the best role model for English...

But yet I would loyally follow the series every Sunday night. Let's not forget PCK's impersonation of the infamous Ris Low. So when news came that Gurmit Singh retired, I was sad. Asia lost a cherished comedy friend.

So when I heard that he was hosting Laugh Die You, a comedy showdown between Malaysia and Singapore  at HGH Convention Centre right here in Kuala Lumpur (hah, take that Singapore!) I was excited!

“Laugh Die You”, a direct translation of a Cantonese phrase, “siu sei lei”, simply means “to laugh until you die”. The internet slang would be LMAO or ROFL for the newer gens. Anyway, Laugh Die You, presented by Popcorn Studio, is expecting at least 4,000 Malaysians to fill its venue, come May 14th and 15th 2015.

For two and half hours, you can expect laughter and entertainment with the show's line up of Singapore's Kumar version Malaysia's Douglas Lim. The comedy show will also feature home-grown stand-up comedian, Rizal van Geyzel. As a post-event entertainment to this show, audience can be expected to be entertained by Malaysian rock band, Hydra (Victoria Secret style apparently..I hope they mean the singers on stage and not as the models)

Tickets are priced at RM308 (VIP), RM258 (Gold), RM158 (Silver), RM188 (Auditorum and Upper floor) and RM108 (disabled) respectively and are available only at www.vip.my .For those travelling from afar have an option for accommodation at the Seri Pacific Kuala Lumpur at a discounted rate upon prior booking and proof of ticket purchase.

I've got my ticket. Have you? If any case, here's a video as to why you should come.
