Malaysian Avocado Smoothie
Everytime I go to Indonesia, chocolate avocado smoothies are a must. Not only is it cheap, but it's also delicious and filling. Thanks to Taste Australia, here's a Malaysian version of an avocado smoothie.
Serves 2
Cooking Time: 5 Minutes
Ingredients
1 avocado
1 tbs gula melaka, heated with bruised pandan leaf
3/4 cup almond milk
1/4 coconut cream
Instruction:
Basically just blend everything until smooth and creamy. Served chilled.
Avocado Chocolate Mousse
This is a upgraded version of Indonesia's popular street drink, ideal for a dinner date.
Serves 2
Prep time: 5 minutes
Setting time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
1 avocado
1 banana, brown and ripe
1/4 cup of coconut milk
1-3 tbs honey, depends on the ripeness of the banana
2 - 3 tbs cocoa powder, adjust for preference.
Assorted berries for topping
Instructions:
1. Put all the ingredients in a food processor or in a bowl with a hand held immersion blender and blend until smooth.
2. Put into a serving dish and chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to set.
3. Top with berries and serve chilled.
