[Cafe Review] Mossarium Cafe 1 Utama

To be honest, I am not sure why this little cafe in 1Utama isn't trending yet because it was such a cozy escape inside such a popular mall. Mossarium cafe is a must visit for plants, coffee and dessert lovers.

Having the right pillow, mattress and blanket is a must for me to catch some Z's and I am sure everyone can relate. But did you know that relaxing your five senses before going to bed can also contribute to a better quality sleep?

Yep, that's what I learnt at the Aloha Getha  Roadshow at Midvalley Megamall over the past weekend. I also got a chance to check out their new limited edition Hawaii series which are exclusively only available at Aloha Getha Roadshows. More deets on that later on.

#YourNutella: Fancy Owning Your Own Customised Nutella Jar?

The meaning of TANIA -1) An abbreviation of Tatiana which is feminine of the Roman family clan name Tatius (origin: Roman); 2) a fairy queen-of Tatiana (origin: Russia) or 3) the owner of Sugoi Days blog and staunch Nutella eater (origin: Malaysia)
Your name is special and unique to you and only you. It's a gift from your parents, a feature that reflects your heritage and the first thing that is yours alone, your badge of individuality. Much like your first memory with Nutella.

Thanks to Nutella, you now have a way to celebrate your names in true Nutella-fashion. With a customised Nutella jar! In fact mine just came in the mail! Thanks, Nutella!

Now who says you can't treat yourself while doing some charity?

Taking the initiative to give back to charity, TGV in partnership with Omnicom Media Group have launched A Delicious Charity campagn in order to raise funds for PERTIWI Soup Kitchen and Fungates Superflow Foundation.

From November 2014 to October 2015 (a whole year!), 12 different dishes will be featured each month, of which 5% of the 'dish of the month' will go to charity. The 12 dishes were selected and  made reality from the pages of the OMG Can Cook recipe book which only cost RM10.

Creatively Functional Bags by Terminus, 1Utama

I love bags. Seriously, what woman doesn't? But more than that, I love functional versatile bags that can hold everything I need for almost all occasions as I am not one that changes her bag frequently. Save for a few brands, there are not many bags out there that can blend functionality with fashion and decent prices.

Enter Terminus Bag.

Lucy movie review

So my previous movie review on Step Up: All In came with an unexpected surprise. I was selected as the winner of Nuffnang's Step Up: All In review contest! Yay!

And my prize was VIP seating to any Nuffnang movie premiere screening of my choice as well as a Guardians of the Galaxy notebook and a Groot toy that had Senri and Elie squabbling over it.

INDULGE Yourself at TGV 1Utama

You know how sometimes your most highly anticipated movie screening is right smack in the middle of your usual eating time (ie dinner time) or at odd hour that leaves you with hardly enough time to grab a proper meal?

I do and usually I find that these are my options to curbing the grumbles in my tummy at the movies:
a) Change the movie timing or movie title altogether. (oh, the headache of reschueduling)
b) Indulge and enjoy the movie while dining on grilled salmon (ah, this is the life)
c) Popcorn to curb the hunger pangs (oh, the calories....)
d) Eat earlier or later (thereby throwing your eating routine off course)
e) Tapau and sneak your meal in. (not advisable)

Now out of these options, you must be thinking 'walio, which cinema will let us watch movie while eating something as luxurious as salmon?' Well, TGV 1Utama will, in the form of their luxurious cinema-and-restaurant concept, Indulge.

Bite Hopping with 1Utama & the Butterfly Project Part 2

In this part of Bite Hopping through 1Utama with the Butterfly Project, let me introduce you to the eateries found in High Street. After covering most of Food Street (which you can read about in Part 1 here), the next part of my foodie mission took me to High Street lower ground (LG).

[Non-halal] But before that, on my way to the former new wing of 1Utama, I dropped by this hidden little hideaway for my Bak Kut Teh fix, Pao Xiang Bak Kut Teh. How do you find it? Just look out for a giant bowl next to the escalator on the lower ground floor and it is right next to the Chinese medicine store, way inside.

Pao Xiang Bak Kut Teh is famously known for their string-tied meat that ensure the meat remains firm and succulent when it is boiled in the herbal soup. It comes served on a ceramic burner to make sure it is constantly hot as you slurp on it. And it just so happened that when I was here, it started pouring cats and dogs outside. Talk about the perfect weather for piping hot soup and pork!

Bite Hopping with 1Utama & the Butterfly Project Part 1

Today's installment of Bite Hopping was brought to you by 1Utama Shopping Centre in collaboration with the Butterfly Project. Being the 4th largest shopping mall in the world, you can be really spoiled for choice in terms of food in 1Utama. Spoiled rotten like a kid in Candyland.

Thanks to the Butterfly Project, I got to try out some of 1Utama's hidden food treasures last weekend as part of their Blogger Wonderfood Adventure. My mission, should I chose to accept or not (I did, that's why I am doing this anyway) was to explore, eat, taste and photography 15 selected outlets of the lower ground (LG) floor. All within a 5 hours time limit from 11am to 4pm.

As soon as I collected my food passport to collect stamps from the outlets and my goodie bag from the registration counter, I started mapping out my foodie route for the next five hours. (cue Mission Impossible music)

Let me start by introducing you to Food Street, located in the LG Promenade area directly beneath Isetan if you need a landmark to find it. There is a good number of eateries here that can satisfy any sort of craving be it local or international, sweet or savoury.
